CONCEPT ART - Work In Progress for Waste Transport Vessel

This is where I'm at on redesigning the automated space vessel to transport the waste container cores.  I plan to paint 7 views: front and back sides, front and back ends, top and bottom, and a perspective.

This is a front side showing the 2 bays for the cores to fit into.

CONCEPT ART - Automated Waste Disposal Core

I'm working on expanding my initial design idea of a waste storage and disposal system that is sent into space.  Below is my Sci-Fi concept design of an inner core container for storing high level radioactive and bio-hazardous waste for long periods of time.

This container would be nested inside a transporting vessel that would carry 2 cores into orbit around the sun or into deep space.  I'll redesign the transport vessel next.  See old design here.

This model is nearly complete, but I still have some diffuse and specular work to do on the lower parts of the body and on the weapons.


Breakdown of the work flow by days:

Day 1:  Proxy model and started low poly model
Day 2: Finished low poly model and started high poly model
Day 3: Completed high ploy model and started transfer of normal maps
Day 4: Completed normal maps and ambient occlusion, much of which had to be done by hand
Day 5: Today - details to the normal maps  and occlusion, added diffuse and specular maps
